Hallways and lobby needed to remain open and safe for foot traffic during project in this occupied, Class A building.
Upon removing the wallcovering in the hallways, unforeseeable wall conditions were revealed. The walls were previously improperly taped and finished.
Solution
Clarion Project Manager and carpenters drew on past experiences to create a system of safety precautions mixed with off hours work that allowed the building to operate as usual during construction.
Clarion carpenters adapted to unusual circumstances and restored poorly finished walls to a level 5 finish.
Clarion worked with building management during ceiling construction to enable engineers to perform maintenance on building equipment in the ceiling, concurrent with construction.
